wai..

been a bit lazy..delayed posting  ;).

It was August and time for Krishna puskaralu..

I was searching for a place where we can go for this Krishna pushkaralu(This is my fisrt time). As I was not interested to go till Mahabaleshwar my search ended
at Wai.

Wai is the first place which has temples along its bank.  We planned to go to Meenavali Ghat, but didn't..there was slight drizzle enroute which worried us..but as soon as we reached Wai..sun came out of clouds just to cheer us. we had our bath in krishna river...kids where uncontrollable. There was good flow of water. Once we are done the sky opened up..we could do nothing we waited at the temple and once the rain has stopped we visited Ganapti temple and other temples in that area. By that time all were hungry. We had packed lunch so we just had to find a spot..

Dhom dam back waters was an ideal location. Where ever you see its green and beautiful. Sun was teasing us by playing hide and seek. We stopped at the backwaters to have lunch. We had 'light rain' lunch. The water at the dam were sweet...after lunch some of us went to visit the dam. We could hear the peacock sound, but we couldn't find them. We spent some time on the bridge. As soon as we started back to the van it stared raining and voila..there is a rainbow...kids where on cloud nine...

we spent some time taking snaps and returned back. What was surprising is that the ones in the van who couldn't spot rainbow where retreated with peacock. We started our way back. While passing the turmeric fields, we where surprised by a whiff of nice turmeric smell which made us stop and purchase at the road side stalls, which where at regular intervals. Next we halted at mapro outlet had a good time tasting there juices and milk shakes. We reached home around 9 and were fully tired. Nevertheless the trip was memorable and fantastic.
